I tryed the chicken wing special ,very good and the price of 50c per wing u can't beat .I had tai,chill, and buffalo because I like a little heat

The atmosphere here is very wonderful. The food is splendid and the prices are nicely fitting..nothing to expensive for a local restaurant. The staff always have a smile on their face and they dont rush you to place an order..sitting area covers outside next to the lake and inside..the theming fits hand in hand with their menu. If your in the area on a nice weekend deffently check this place out

A great place to stop by grab a cone and watch the lake.

They get 3 stars for the great view and the ice cream. The food itself, I got a chicken sandwich, was not good. So much bread... the bread was cold and a little stale. The fried chicken itself was good but everything else just made the sandwich not good. I really was expecting so much more based on the glowing reviews, and based on the high price of the sandwich.

Great food reasonably priced, don’t forget to save room for ice cream. Very relaxed atmosphere and definitely off the beaten path so a locals hangout.

You have to at least do an annual pilgrimage to the Baited Hook. Classic clam shack cuisine right on the shore of Mascoma Lake. It's best to sit outside at one of the picnic tables so you can enjoy the view while you eat. Parking can be a bit tricky when it's busy, but it's worth the effort. Update: 27 June 2018 - it looks like the Baited Hook isn't going to open the restaurant this year unless the owner can find someone to lease the property. The ice cream window is open though, weather permitting. It's still fun to get an ice cream and sit by the lake.

At first I was hesitant based on some local comments I'd heard around town. I have been a regular over the years with the previous owners so I gave it a try. I must say the comments I heard locally were off and maybe this was due to growing pains of a new restaurant. Since I have started going the menu has expanded in a very good way, weekend specials have been great and I need to try out wing night!! They've also added beer/cider which is great addition. Pricing seems to be very reasonable for the quality/portions you receive. All in All a solid place to eat while you get to sit next to the water!! On a side note, wish there was boat docks for us boaters!!

For a $15 dinner, I got six scallops, which seemed a little stingy. Even two more scallops would have made me more satisfied . The scallops are not breaded, which was ok, and they were cooked perfectly. The shoestring fries were very good, which is a good thing because that was the majority of my platter. The lettuce used in the "coleslaw" was wilted and unappetizing. Lettuce just doesn't hold up in dressing for very long, which is why cabbage is the standard for coleslaw. I couldn't bring myself to eat it. Our meal was up and ready very quickly, which we did appreciate, and the service was friendly.

The food is good but it takes forever to get your order. Also I wish they would offer pints of seafood instead of having to order a full meal.

Great location on Mascoma Lake.

I don't eat fish but my family does and they just raved about how delicious and fresh it was. I throughly enjoyed my amazing grilled cheese sandwich. I was pleased that fries didn't taste like seafood.

I had the lobster roll and my husband had the boom boom shrimp. Our meals were tasty. My only wish is that they served whole clams all the time not clam strips.

Stopped for ice cream and they have friendly and outgoing staff. Great place to stop after a day on the lake. Ella scooped the best ice cream!

Small, local place serves chicken, burgers, fries, clams, ice cream and a few other things. Been there for over 20 years. Good food rustic setting. Picnic tables outside are great for kids.

Amazing as always. Classic New England the way it should be. Tallboy cans of Narragansett and the best authentic no bells and whistles food you can find these days, a throwback to a bygone age where time was simple and clean and fun.

The view is amazing! Such a sweet find in my neck of the woods! Love it!

Had a ice cream but haven't eat here as the restaurant part isn't open. But ice service is very friendly and quick service.

Been there several times. Drive an hour and a half to get there. Great food and great view. Had the double smash burger. Double cheese burger with fries for $6.00. That is a great deal. And it’s delicious. Also had the fish and chips. Big portions of both. Very good and I think reasonably priced for the amount of food they give you. Had the fried clams on another occasion. Lightly battered and melt in your mouth. Never had the ice cream. Always too full. I see a couple complaints about the price of some of the food. But give it a chance. The portions are great and the food is as well. These are new owners. I had the pleasure of meeting them. Nice people and trying to make this work. So give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

A great lakeside spot on Mascoma Lake whether you want to eat in or take it, it's a family friendly place I have been supporting for over 30 years! Patti, the owner and cook it amazing.

Indeed pricey, but had a nice view at their outside patio seating area. Fish and chips tasted great. But they messed up the other two orders at the table, as they both got calamari instead of clam strips. Either that or they were the toughest clam strips I have ever tried.

Awesome atmosphere and good food; we pulled our boat right up too! Good summer spot.

Since new ownership the ice cream prices have skyrocketed and the serving size has plummeted. I got a small ice cream in a dish yesterday and the board that hangs outside with the prices/ flavors said that a small was $3.00. Well I get to the window and order a plain ice cream as the girl hands it to me, the one scoop didn’t even reach the top of the dish. She said the total was $3.90... I said what isn’t it $3.00 and she said the sign should say $3.60 which it really didn’t whatever. Then I said where is the extra 0.30¢ coming from and she said that was the tax. So long story short I won’t be coming back because it’s not worth it. I also had a few friends eat in the restaurant and they said it wasn’t worth the money and the food wasn’t good.

So good, I had the fish tacos and they were really good. My husband loved the cod fish and chips.

A little overpriced for the portion of the scallops

Fresh and delicious fried seafood, plus ice cream, can ask for much more
